Windows 7 Video Boot

NanWick is introducing a new tool to customize Windows 7 boot animation. This tool allows you to
  • Set a Video File as Windows 7 Boot Screen animation.
  • Set Animation.bmp as Windows 7 Boot Screen animation(Advanced Mode, Described below).
  • It supports video files of formats : .AVI, .MP4, .MKV, .FLV, . 3GP, .MPG, .VOB, .DAT

1.How to set a video file as Windows 7 Boot Screen

To do this, first open Windows 7 Video boot utility(Fig 1)

It is recommended to take backup before making customizations. It can be done by clicking Backup button.
 (i) Adding Video file : You can insert video file simply by clicking Browse Video File. Video file will be inserted within a minute. You can check video file using the seek bar.
(ii) Setting It as Boot Screen : Click on Set button to apply it as your Boot Screen animation. It may take several minutes to complete process.

2.How to set Activity Bitmap as Windows 7 Boot Screen (Advanced Mode)

Before continuing with this mode you need to know what is activity.bmp.It is simply a bitmap image of resolution 200x21000 containing all screens of Windows 7 boot animation.

Here I've uploaded an example for activity.bmp

You can develop such images by editing this image in Ms Paint or other editing softwares.
There is also a Nice collection of activity.bmp's in a German forum.

Click on Browse File and select an activity.bmp file. Check file using the seek bar and click Set button to apply.

  3. All I get is two errors. First error while starting the program, saying that directory 1 was not found. When I click on the button to continue, the program starts and shows the UI. I made a backup of my original bootscreen. After that I browsed to the new bootscreen AVI file and clicked on SET. Another error message comes up saying that the access to the path was restricted. Once agein I clicked to continue but the bootscreen is still the original one.

    4. I have the same problem, and I also can not restore. Instead I get an error message saying that the file already exists.

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.
